Halim Ramses is an artist & cultural worker based in Cairo, Egypt.
Halim focuses on the notion of “gathering” as an act in itself.
Thinking of gathering as a form, an ephemeral moment yet an embodied affect.
Through his practice he incorporates different mediums including participatory performances, tours,
study groups, story-telling and spell making sessions.
Halim was a resident at Cité des Arts in Paris (2025), 32° East in Kampala (2025), and the Sommerakademie Paul Klee in Bern (2023–2024). He is also a recipient of the Prince Claus SEED Award (2024) and a Henrike Grohs Art Award shortlist (2026).
